Israeli Wines

About 15 million bottles a year are from Israeli wine manufacturers. Likewise are imported to Israel about 22 million bottles.

Until the 80’s Israel were consuming mainly table wines in the stunted quality. Opening of the market to the importation in the years 90 exposed the public to the high quality wines. In the competition that was created began also the commercial wineries to manufacture wines of higher quality.

Israeli main wine market is divisible between Carmel Mizrachi, Barkan and Golan Heights wineries. There are also smaller wineries like: Adir, Efrat and Yarden. There are tens of other small boutique wineries all over Israel.
